5 Best white-label AI chatbot platforms 2026

Most platforms sell "white label" as a checkbox. For an agency reselling AI agents, four things actually matter: does the vendor badge really disappear, is each client an isolated tenant, can your client manage their own agent without ever seeing the vendor, and does the pricing survive being marked up. This ranking scores five platforms on exactly that — including where each one's white label stops.

Disclosure: this comparison is edited by Antoine Riesser, founder of Animam.ai, which ranks first. Methodology is detailed below. CustomGPT and Tidio data verified on official sites on August 19, 2026; Botpress, Voiceflow and Chatbase data verified May 18, 2026. Spot a data error? contact@animam.ai.

In short

White label rewards platforms built for invisible reselling: per-client tenants, an embeddable console, pooled pricing. Badge removal alone is table stakes.

  • Animam.aiBadge removal + isolated tenant per client + embeddable client console, €199/mo flat.
  • CustomGPTBranding removal from Premium ($499/mo), full white-label on Enterprise.
  • BotpressMature studio; white-label reserved for top plans, pricing not public.

Three agencies facing the white-label decision

Composite scenarios drawn from real agency conversations — the numbers are illustrative.

Marta, runs a 6-person web agency · 30 maintenance clients on WordPress

The problem
Marta wanted to add "AI agent" as a €59/mo line item on her maintenance contracts. Per-query pricing killed the math: one chatty client could eat the margin of five quiet ones. And her clients must never see another vendor’s brand inside a site she maintains.
The journey
Tested Animam Agency (€199/mo, 10 agents included, conversations pooled across the fleet). Badge off, each client an isolated tenant, WordPress plugin syncs each site’s content automatically.
The outcome
Ten clients signed at €59/mo = €590 recurring against €199 flat. The pooled quota absorbed one client’s launch-week spike without a surprise invoice.

Diego, founder of a SaaS for real-estate agencies · wants an embedded assistant per customer

The problem
Diego’s customers should manage their own assistant’s knowledge base — but inside HIS product. Sending them to a third-party dashboard with someone else’s logo was a deal-breaker, and building a console himself was a quarter of roadmap.
The journey
Iframed Animam’s /embed routes (knowledge base, settings, personality — no vendor navigation) behind his own authenticated pages, one API key per customer tenant.
The outcome
Shipped "AI assistant" as a paid add-on in three weeks. His customers never see the word Animam; the console looks like a native part of his SaaS.

Claire, digital consultant · 4 clients · first white-label deal

The problem
Claire almost signed a platform whose "white label" turned out to be a hidden footer only — the vendor’s domain still appeared in every transactional email her client received. She found out from the client, three weeks after reselling it.
The journey
Rebuilt her checklist from vendor truth pages: what exactly disappears (badge, name), what does not (script domain, email sender). Picked the platform that documented its own limits before the sale.
The outcome
Her resell contract now mirrors the vendor’s documented limits, and no client has been surprised since.

Methodology

Seven weighted criteria, scored for the agency-reseller use case specifically. Each platform scored 0-10, weighted average.

Badge removal & enforcement

20%

Does the vendor brand disappear from the widget — and is that enforced server-side from the plan, not by a CSS trick a client could undo?

Per-client isolation

20%

One isolated tenant per client: own knowledge base, own API key, own conversation counter. A leak or a churn on one client never touches the others.

Embeddable client console

15%

Can your client edit their own knowledge base and settings inside YOUR product, without ever logging into the vendor?

Resell pricing

15%

Predictable flat pricing you can mark up. Per-resolution or per-query pricing makes your margin depend on your client’s traffic.

Provisioning

10%

How fast can you spin up agent #11 when you sign client #11 — a minute in a dashboard, an API call, or a sales call?

BYOK LLM

10%

Bring your own Claude / GPT / Mistral key to control unit economics across the fleet.

Honesty of limits

10%

Does the vendor document what white label does NOT cover (custom domains, email sending domains) before you sign, or after?

Detailed ranking 2026

1. Animam.ai

Built for invisible reselling: badge removal, isolated tenants, embeddable client console.

Strengths
Badge removal enforced server-side from the Agency plan. One isolated tenant per client (own knowledge base, own API key, own conversation counter). Embeddable client console via /embed routes — knowledge base, settings, personality — with no vendor navigation, made to be iframed inside your product. Conversations pooled across the fleet: a quiet client covers a busy one. BYOK across 7 LLM providers. Documents what white label does NOT cover on a dedicated truth page before you sign.
Limits
Widget script served from animam.ai (no CNAME/custom domain). Transactional emails sent from Animam’s domain. No logo upload for the dashboard chrome. Agency plan is sales-led, not self-serve.
For whom
Web agencies, WordPress maintainers, SaaS founders embedding a per-customer assistant, resellers who value documented limits over marketing promises.
Pricing
Agency €199/mo — 10 agents included (then €15 per agent), 6,000 conversations a month pooled across the fleet, unlimited knowledge base, embeddable console. Every agent carries 20 conversations a day.

2. CustomGPT

RAG-focused agents with branding removal from the Premium plan.

Strengths
Strong content ingestion (websites, PDFs, YouTube, knowledge bases). Branding removal available from Premium. Enterprise tier offers full white-labelling with a dedicated team. Up to 25 agents on Premium.
Limits
Premium is $499/mo and caps at 5,000 queries a month across the account — per-query maths matter if your clients get traffic. Full white-label is Enterprise-only, on quote, behind a sales consultation. No embeddable client console equivalent documented.
For whom
Agencies whose clients are content-heavy (docs, help centers) and whose traffic per client is modest and predictable.
Pricing
Standard $99/mo (10 agents, 1,000 queries/mo) · Premium $499/mo (25 agents, 5,000 queries/mo, branding removal) · Enterprise on quote (full white-label). Verified August 19, 2026.

3. Botpress

Mature agent studio; white-label reserved for top plans.

Strengths
Powerful visual studio and TypeScript ADK. Covers web, WhatsApp, Messenger, Slack, Teams natively. Large builder community and partner program.
Limits
White-label reserved for top plans, and public pricing was inaccessible at verification (the pricing page returned a 403). Multi-tenant model not designed for invisible reselling. No documented embeddable client console.
For whom
Technical agencies that want a deep flow studio and are ready to negotiate white-label terms in a sales conversation.
Pricing
Not reliably public — pricing page inaccessible at verification (May 18, 2026). White-label on top plans.
4

4. Voiceflow

Best visual canvas; agency workflows without invisible resell.

Strengths
Mature drag-and-drop canvas your non-technical staff can operate. Strong template ecosystem and integrations (Zapier, Make, n8n). Well documented agency use cases.
Limits
Workspaces are not designed for invisible reseller multi-tenancy. Pricing not public for the tiers agencies need (book a demo). No MCP. White-label depth depends on the negotiated plan.
For whom
Agencies with a design/ops team that iterates conversation flows visually and tolerates demo-gated pricing.
Pricing
Not public for agency tiers — book a demo. Verified May 18, 2026.
5

5. Chatbase

Fastest single-bot deploy; thin white-label story.

Strengths
URL to working bot in 30 minutes. Clean UX your junior staff can operate. Good for prototyping a client demo before committing.
Limits
Multi-tenant limited (teams capped). No embeddable client console. No MCP. Per-account model means one Chatbase account per client — passwords and billing multiply with your client list.
For whom
Freelancers with one or two clients who need a quick, branded-enough widget and accept managing separate accounts.
Pricing
Free · Hobby $32/mo · Standard $120/mo · Pro $400/mo. Verified May 18, 2026.

Refined picks by agency profile

Different agency shapes need different white labels:

WordPress maintenance agency (10-50 clients)

Animam Agency — plugin syncs each site’s content, pooled conversations, one invoice.

SaaS embedding a per-customer assistant

Animam — the /embed console is the only documented way to keep clients inside your product.

Content-heavy clients, low traffic

CustomGPT Standard or Premium — strong ingestion, watch the query cap.

Deep custom flows, technical team

Botpress — if the negotiated white-label terms fit; get pricing in writing.

Visual flow iteration by non-devs

Voiceflow — accept demo-gated pricing and partial invisibility.

Frequently asked questions

What does "white label" actually remove — on any platform?

Typically three layers, and vendors rarely deliver all three: (1) the visible badge in the widget, (2) the vendor’s name in what your client manages (dashboard, console), (3) the vendor’s infrastructure fingerprints — script domain, API calls, transactional email sender. Layer 1 is table stakes on every platform in this ranking. Layer 2 requires an embeddable console (Animam ships one; the others don’t document an equivalent). Layer 3 is where every platform here stops: scripts and emails still come from the vendor’s domain. Any vendor claiming total invisibility deserves a hard look at their network tab.

Which platform removes its badge, and on which plan?

Animam: from the Agency plan (€199/mo), enforced server-side. CustomGPT: from Premium ($499/mo). Botpress: reserved for top plans, pricing not public. Voiceflow: negotiated. Chatbase: on paid plans. The enforcement detail matters: a badge removed by CSS can be re-enabled by anyone editing the page; a badge removed server-side from the plan cannot.

Can my client manage their own agent without seeing the vendor?

Only if the platform ships an embeddable console. Animam exposes /embed routes — knowledge base, settings, personality — with no vendor navigation, meant to be iframed inside your own product behind your own authentication. On the other four platforms, client self-service means logging into the vendor’s dashboard, vendor brand included.

What pricing model survives being resold?

Flat and pooled. If you charge each client €49-99/mo, your cost must not scale with their traffic. Animam Agency is €199/mo flat with 6,000 conversations pooled across all client bots — a quiet client covers a busy one. CustomGPT Premium caps at 5,000 queries across the account, so one busy client consumes the pool without a pooling logic designed for reselling. Per-resolution pricing (as practiced in the support-bot world) is the worst case for a reseller: your margin depends on traffic you don’t control.

How fast can I provision a new client?

Animam: create a tenant from the dashboard in about a minute (API provisioning is an Enterprise capability). Chatbase: create a new account per client — fast but multiplies logins and invoices. CustomGPT: new agent within your plan’s cap. Botpress and Voiceflow: within a workspace, but the isolation model is not per-client by design.

Does white label remove the AI disclaimer?

It must not, and on Animam it doesn’t: the banner telling visitors they are talking to an AI stays on every widget, white label included. Article 50 of the EU AI Act makes that transparency an obligation for whoever deploys the bot — you and your client included. A platform that lets you silently remove it is transferring that legal risk to you.

What is NOT white-labeled on Animam?

Three things, documented before you sign: the widget script is served from animam.ai (no CNAME), transactional emails are sent from Animam’s domain, and there is no logo upload for the dashboard chrome. Your client sees your brand everywhere in the interface; they would find animam.ai only by opening the browser inspector. The full truth table is on the white-label page.

Can I bring my own LLM key across a fleet of client bots?

On Animam, yes — BYOK across Claude, GPT, Mistral, DeepSeek, Kimi, Groq or a custom OpenAI-compatible endpoint, per tenant. Useful when a client contractually requires a specific AI provider, or when you want fleet-level control of unit economics. CustomGPT and Chatbase bundle the LLM; Botpress and Voiceflow depend on plan.

What margin does the maths actually leave?

Worked example at 10 clients billed €59/mo each: €590 revenue. Animam Agency: €199 flat → €391/mo margin, invariant to traffic within the pooled quota. CustomGPT Premium: $499 (~€460) → thin margin, and 5,000 queries/mo shared across 10 clients is 500 each — one active client breaks it. Chatbase: 10 × Hobby $32 = $320 (~€295) → workable margin but 10 separate accounts to administer, and no console to hand the client.

Is a white-label chatbot legal to resell without telling the client?

Reselling is legal (that’s the point of the white-label contract), but two disclosures are non-negotiable: the end visitor must know they are talking to an AI (EU AI Act art. 50), and your own contract with your client should mirror the platform’s documented limits — script domain, email sender, data location — so nothing surfaces as a surprise. The failure mode is not legal, it’s trust: clients who discover the vendor by accident rarely renew.
